ALIENS – The Midnight Movie Commentary

by admin on March 30, 2011

To sync commentary – hit play on the .mp3 file. As Fatboy counts down from three, pause just after he says One. Start your ALIENS DVD/Blu-Ray/Netflix Instant. Make sure it’s the Theatrical Version. When the classic 20th Century Fox Logo comes up at the beginning of the film, unpause the .mp3. The 20th Century Fox Fanfare should sync up (loosely) and you should be ready to enjoy yet another vaguely kinda-sorta scene specific commentary from Cort, Fatboy, Erik Henriksen of the Portland Mercury, David Walker of BadAzzMofo.com, and Mike Russell of CulturePulp.com. Commentary fueled by Bill Paxton’s endearing charm and expensive scotch.

Is this going to be made available on the iTunes feed so it can be downloaded by iDevices?

I’m traveling this weekend, so I modified my Midnight Movie Home Version. I watched Aliens for the first time this weekend (with whiskey and tots) and listened to the commentary today at work. Both were great, and now I want to watch Aliens again. Nice job guys, thanks!

The version on Netflix Instant is the Collectors edition. Would this be the same as the theatrical release you did the commentary for?

Actually the version on Netflix is the theatrical release. Although Netflix say it is the Collectors edition, it doesn’t have the colony scenes at the start or the sentry guns so yes the Netflix version will match up with this commentary.

This one’s for the people that went to see Aliens…

What were the movies shown in the trailer reel this time around?

Sadly since I work over-nights I wasn’t able to make it, but want to know what’s coming later in the year.

thanks!

“Look into my eye”…he’s flipping him off. Middle finger to his eye, guys. You recall flipping people off in the 80′s?
