Jeff Parker: Masculine Man. Mountain Climber. Mechanic. Architect of some of your favorite comics stories in the last 10 years, Parker joins David Walker to talk about the versatility of kale, the importance of knowing what flora to use as a sanitary device, and how a lot of what you love in movies isn’t the vision of the director, or even the screenwriter – it’s the storyboard artist, which Mr. Parker was for quite awhile. Also discussed – what drew Jeff to Red She-Hulk, tips on how to write comics scripts in a way that doesn’t alienate those sensitive artist types, and the trickiest part of writing X-Men: First Class; making sure all the continuity nerds didn’t have a heart attack. All that, plus creative uses for chickpeas, courtesy of Steve Lieber.

Did anyone else spend the whole show imagining that Jeff was really Jim Dangle? No? Just me…?

Just FYI, there was no “kombucha scare” and nobody “tripped balls” from “tainted kombucha.” It was temporarily pulled from local shelves last year due to alcohol content issues, which were resolved quickly. And it’s not made from mushrooms, nor does it taste like mushrooms. Google that shit, if interested. It’s health benefits are absolutley overplayed, but the stuff is tart, fizzy, refreshing and super tasty, for what it’s worth.

You (and basically, anyone looking to correct us on the silliness that falls out of your head from time to time) should precede posts like that with

“THIS IS RUMOR CONTROL, HERE ARE THE FACTS!”

Thanks, man.

Maybe you should Google it?

Plus, it can ferment and become strong enough to impair someone; without them realizing they are impaired.

*That’s for you, Bobby!
