Extra special podcast beautifulness today. Not just David Walker, the BadAzz Mofo himself, but Doug Kenck-Crispin of Kick-Ass Oregon History guests on today’s show to talk all manner of interesting, kick-ass stuff that resides just under the surface of what you THINK you know – including Dave’s specific white whale of choice: THE BIGFOOT. Doug hunted one. He’s also gone into the “Shanghai Tunnels” to determine their worth, and tried to follow DB Cooper as far down the rabbit hole as he might have actually gone. This is a pretty damned educational show, which will happen when an educator is on it – Secret Japanese attacks on American soil in World War II, An Oregon governor who beleived in prisoner rehabilitation almost as much as he believed in sending kids to die in Vietnam, and a hell of a lot more. It’s a full plate today, kids. Dig in.

Sad to see that the show will be coming to an end. But, all of us that still listen have many more episodes to go until that day comes.
Cheers from San Francisco!

AH, Bigfoot.
People should go out with scientists looking for animals that there is only a rumor exists. A couple of those and you will see that the likely hoof that a bigfoot exists rapidly approaches zero.
It might take days or weeks to find actual evidence. After 60 or so years, not a poop, fur, food remains, decent photo, after birth, children..nothing.
When you bring this up to them, they start building some nonsense global conspiracy to ‘cover it up’.

While people thought the Celocampth was extinct, no one was looking for it. As soon as it came to an experts attention, they started finding them. It wasn’t it’s hard to find, it’s that no one was looking for it.

People believing in the shit hurt society. So many kids sucked into this myth that is actually hurts science and the teaching of critical thinking.

There is plenty old stuff in reality that screws with peoples beliefs, you don’t need made up BS.
Typical example:

LTTP but quick note, via Erick D Snider. Something interesting about Utah going to Romney, He actually got a lower percentage in Utah than Bush did in ’04.
