Past Podcast Episodes

March 2010

Nick from DigitalTrends talks 3D TV and whether anyone even wants this stuff. Big Jim Willig talks comedy and life after having your soul yanked out by radio, and finding redemption inside a porn store. Other topics include: Avatar's sequel is a documentary, John Krasinski is NOT Captain America, Corey Haim caught a bad one, Portland comedians, America is allergic to common sense, and other stuff I'm sure is worth a chortle or a larf or somethin.

A show almost as filling as a Big-Ass Sandwich: Both Brian and Lisa Wood sit in to discuss the creation of "The Cort and Fatboy Happy Fun-Time BBQ Southern Meat Spectacular," and Dave Walker assumes his Dr. No Love identity to turn chance encounters into something more substantial. Other topics include - the terrorists are getting desperate, Karl Rove got wrecked by a 9 year old girl, the uber-masculine alternative to hugging for homophobes, Porn's place in a stable relationship, and the benefits of boxed wine as part of your healthy breakfast.

Aaron Duran brings a deleted movie in with him - Kevin Smith's interpretation of the Green Hornet is reviewed by the Geek In the City, but only after there is much discussion of personal hygiene, the effect of a woman's influence on the show, Tom DeLay's idiotic opinions of America's unemployed, whether watching The Room 30 times is an act of self-abuse, and the ending to "Remember Me" starring Robert Pattinson is completely spoiled, but for a very good reason.

Cort signs on with a raging Benadryl/Vodka hangover after a long night battling hives, while Mike Russell battles the elaborate uselessness of Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland. Other topics include: Kids still smoking incense with vomitous consequences, Doogie Smurf collects a paycheck, what really killed the Dinosaurs, Fatty rants passionately about something stupid, Wesley Snipes is still a badass, Gladiator Owls - the movie, A hidden link between the Blues Brothers and the Coen Brothers, and TFAW's rather awesome coloring contest.

Byron Beck visits urgent care, and lives to tell the tale of existential fears and wet-naps. Also discussed: Cort's secret past w/ a controversial figure, and what he drew on that person's face. A very educational and scattershot episode which, of course, features more than a fair share of groin-related inquiries on Byron's part. Topics include: The GOP fundraising manual, Chicken-Skin, American Cancer Society thinks it should be promoting cancer, not stopping it, Weight Watchers and McDonalds join forces, and what Byron wants to be when he grows up, because obviously, NONE of us have done it yet.

Not only does Nick from DigitalTrends.com stop by to detail the misadventures in tech for the past week, but Brian from Target for Tomorrow and the Horns of Destruction sits in all show long, chiming in on topics that include: Why imitating the Hulk isn't smart, whether 3D TV's are going to work, the power of Laserdisc, the reunion of RUN DMC, Why Wikipedia hates us, Why Cort hates the word "Why," Operation Scar Car is declared and the genius in giving control of NY airspace to grade schoolers.

David Walker takes the shotgun blast to his sense of cinematic decency by checking out The Asylum's latest DTV production, "Princess of Mars," but only after a nostalgia bath regarding the stupid games we'd play as kids, based on wholly inappropriate movies. Also discussed - Jim Bunning is a pretty big asshead, Domino's Pizza discovers that truth in advertising works, and Dr No-Love and Cort engage in some casual misogyny that will be studied by feminist scholars for generations to come. Plus the regular crap you've come to expect by now.

Aaron Duran is missing - either he's sick with a cold, or the Russians from last week got him. Either way, Cort and Fatty soldier on with a wide array of topics, including: Moving DC Comics to Portland, What the hell is wrong with southern people and their ridiculous slang, Guns in Starbucks, Yellow lights are your enemy, How musicals about whorehouses in texas stack up to action movies about windstorms, and sacred cinematic cows get skewered a couple times. Plus - German people are weird as hell.
