Cort and Fatboy - Daily Mediocrity Since 2003

Friday, June 24th, 2011

by admin on June 24, 2011

Mike Russell comes through and gazes upon the goofy mess Cort and Fats have made of the week, and sets about trying to clean it up with pure class. But as often happens, you get dirty when you clean things. Mike Russell only has so much patience, and Cort runs it thinner than a set of old tires in very short order. This is a good thing, as the following discussion in which The Rock, Transformers, Tree of Life, Gladiator and Superman are all mashed up in a strange, beautiful and weird biomechanoid pop-culture monster slowly moving through a placid field of wheat with its hand outstretched. Other topics include: Why Cars 2 is getting stabbed to death by most of the people who have seen it, and why Mike thinks that’s a LITTLE unfair, why Bad Teacher doesn’t work quite as well as it should, Shaolin vs. Wu-Tang, Hobbits, and Captain America + Tool = WTF tinged with a bit of awesomesauce.

No show notes for Film Sack? :D

(I love that podcast too, Mike)

Oh, right, I forgot I mentioned Film Sack! It’s a tightly constructed, very funny movie podcast in which four friends convene to obsessively pick apart a single, frequently trashy film. Recommended: http://filmsack.com/

I was being a smart-arse, but yeah, it was a good shout :)

For anyone wanting to try it out, start with an early podcast as newer ones may be a bit confusing with running gags. And Scott Fletcher is a legend :D
