I don't know if this episode is fit for human consumption. But if you're feeling froggy, jump.

The Midnight Movie Commentary - Ferris Bueller's Day Off

To sync commentary: Press play on commentary, pause commentary after "3, 2, 1" countdown. Start movie, and as the Paramount logo appears at the beginning of the movie proper, unpause the commentary. Commentators include Mike Russell of culturepulp.com and The Oregonian, and Erik Henriksen, senior editor of The Portland Mercury. Yet another commentary fueled by bourbon and cookies.

Cort is congested, Fatty is sleepy and brain-addled, and so the show is already sideways out-of-the gate. Whatever that means. Not much makes sense in today's show. Ryan of DigitalTrends learns a valuable lesson about looking a gift horse in the mouth - sometimes that mouth has a hall full of unpleasant things inside it. The Fate of Digg and the footprint of 4chan are also discussed. Courtenay Hameister of Live Wire talks interviewing technique, and those moments when audience participation is considered highly unneccessary, like, say when you're drowning out the comedian at a comedy club you paid to enter. Other topics include - Obama's poor choice of earworm, the setting for the next 30,000 bad independent horror films has been found, and why morning-show jocks are bad choices for movements other than bowel.

David Walker returns from a week at camp with a startling admission - he's never watched Ferris Bueller. Other revelations ensue as the discussion examines the filmic wonderfulness that was 1982, how Pretty in Pink is forever starting fights, how the zen wisdom of Road House could solve the spread of ISLAMOPHOBIA! running across america, a plague just barely beating out the spread of bedbugs through the midwest. Other topics include - The challenges David endured in an attempt to get outside his comfort zone at camp, Antoine Dodson's attempt at flipping internet fame into something legitimately helpful for his family, and a couple quick bursts of advice from Dr. No-Love

Aaron Duran has some interesting ideas on marketing, inspired by Evan Dorkin, whose book he's pimping this week. Also interesting? The Egg Industries latest attempt to duck the salmonella scare. Other topics include: Damn near everything that happened over the weekend. Read Comics in Public Day, The Emmys and their irrelevancy, What would happen if Batman was in a John Hughes movie? Should airplanes have child-only sections, and the scientific theorem that states if someone fictional does something in a movie, you should be able to do it, too.
